Information requested

I would be grateful if you could provide the following information under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

The SQA released information today highlighting that it had carried out “a successful limited trial in 2023 with a small group of schools across two subject areas”, providing centres with access to marked exam papers. The release said on the back of this initial trial the SQA planned to carry out a wider pilot following this year’s exams, with marked papers in five subject areas to be made available to schools on exam results day.

I would like to request any information held by the SQA summarising how the 2023 trials were carried out and the results/findings of the 2023 trials. This might for instance include any written reports on the trials setting out the methodology used and the key findings – or presentations.

Essentially, I’m hoping through this foi to better understand what the SQA learned from the 2023 trials and to better understand what the trials involved – including how many schools were involved and which subjects were involved.
