Appeal statistics by education authority often involve very small numbers meaning that comparisons may not be meaningful. Additionally, the appeals systems in place in each year from 2019 to 2022 have varied fundamentally as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and it is therefore extremely challenging to compare statistics between years.
