SQA Advanced Certificate/Diploma Computer Aided Architectural Design and Technology
SQA Advanced Certificates and Advanced Diplomas provide practical skills and theoretical knowledge that meet the needs of employers.
The SQA Advanced Certificate and SQA Advanced Diploma in Computer Aided Architectural Design and Technology give learners the opportunity to develop the practical skills and underpinning knowledge of architectural technology. This includes the use of CAD for the production of 3-dimensional architectural models and 2-dimensional drawings.
These qualifications cover areas such as architectural CAD principles and practice; residential design; form, order and composition; and CAD user systems. Optional units include statutory control of buildings; building information modelling; and digital collaboration practices.
This qualification is available through a growing number of colleges, training providers and universities around the world. Typically, an SQA Advanced Certificate takes one year to complete and an SQA Advanced Diploma takes two years.
