National 5 Skills for Work: Food and Drink Manufacturing Industry is an introductory qualification which develops the skills, knowledge and attitudes needed to work in the food and drink industry.
Candidates learn about safety requirements and product development, and how the food and drink manufacturing industry contributes to the Scottish economy.
The qualification is experiential and learner-centred and candidates can develop practical skills in a realistic work environment where they learn about working in teams and dealing with customers.
The Units of the Course have been designed to be delivered in an integrated way and guidance on a suggested teaching pattern is given in the Course Specification.
It is available through schools and colleges.

There is no external assessment for this Course. Learners must successfully complete each Unit to achieve the Course.
