Career and Employment Information
The awards will allow candidates to develop knowledge, understanding and skills to undertake the role of an engineering supervisor in an engineering business environment. The successful candidates may work now, or in the future, at advanced engineering craft and supervisory level, in an engineering environment.
The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) advises that an Advanced Certificate/HNC Engineering Practice award partially meets the academic requirements for registration as an Incorporated Engineer and meets the academic underpinning requirements for registration as an Engineering Technician.
On successful completion, the awards will allow candidates to progress to a relevant HNC/D Engineering or further qualifications in a supervisory or management area.
