Skills for Work: Hairdressing
The Skills for Work (SfW) Course provides a broad introduction to hairdressing, with practical experience of general salon duties, reception skills, communication and customer care. The focus is on experiencing the salon environment and developing vocational skills, knowledge and understanding. Candidates will develop their skills in shampooing, conditioning, basic scalp massage, drying hair, colouring hair and cutting hair, and will learn about current fashion trends, with the opportunity to experiment to produce an image that reflects these. Emphasis throughout all Units is on employability skills and attitudes.
