Supporting the future of NextGen: HN

We’re in the early stages of developing new systems to support NextGen: HN quality assurance, grading, certification and invoicing.

The systems will allow a greater scale of rollout of NextGen: HN qualifications after session 2024-25 and enable wider digital transformation to support the development and delivery of the new qualifications body.

The project to support this transformation – NextGen: Digital Awarding – is currently in discovery phase, which will last until June 2024. Some centres have already been invited to provide their perspectives on SQA technology, processes and ways of working, as part of this phase. We will continue to engage with a range of centres and appointees throughout the discovery phase to understand their needs, challenges and requirements.

Looking further ahead, we are expecting to implement the systems to support the wider rollout of NextGen: HN in session 2025-26.
