Grading and meta-skills
The NextGen: HN project uses a service-led design model to develop, pilot and evaluate, allowing for continuous review and improvement. Over the last year we have tested various approaches across our design principles and products. As a result, opportunities for improvement have emerged, with particular focus on grading and meta-skills. We are now looking to incorporate meta-skills into existing grading processes, recognising and rewarding learners who show commitment to meta-skills development. Meta-skills grade descriptors have been developed to ensure a consistent approach. We will continue working with development teams and pilot centres to incorporate the change and to ensure we overcome the challenges faced.
