Building your knowledge and skills
Online learning
We all lead busy lives. If you want to learn more about an appointee role or if you would like to develop your knowledge of soft skills, we have created a series of short, interactive, online courses which are available on our e-learning platform - SQA Academy.
Getting started with SQA Academy
If you haven’t used SQA Academy before then you will need to register first.
To register go to the section ' Is this your first time here?' and click on the 'Create new account' button. You will be asked to provide an email address and password. We will verify your email and you will then be able to login and use the service whenever is convenient.
Convenient and easy to use
SQA Academy has been designed to be accessed on different platforms from your laptop to your smart phone or tablet. Our courses are available 24/7 and easy to access – just select the course you want to take, register yourself on that course and then press start to begin.
Content written with appointees in mind
Our courses on the Academy are organised into folders containing either material for certain specific roles (such as Principal Assessor, Chief Invigilator or External Verifier) as well as separate folders for soft skills such as getting organised and handling challenging conversations.
We also offer 'Tea Breaks' – short, 2-3 minute long video sessions each aimed at one single learning point.
