International Delivery and Assessment

Further to the communication that went to awarding bodies in August 2021, outlining an awarding body’s ability to now ‘opt-in’ to delivering and assessing SQA accredited qualifications internationally, we would like to remind awarding bodies that the default position for all awarding bodies is ‘opted-out’.

If you wish to allow delivery and assessment of SQA accredited qualifications through a satellite site, defined as “a temporary or permanent location, remote from a Provider’s main UK site, that remains subject to the Provider’s authority in respect of complying with awarding body guidance on delivery, assessment, and quality assurance” awarding bodies must seek prior authorisation from your Regulation Manager in advance of any delivery and assessment.
