NPA Digital Passport SCQF level 4, 5 and 6
Digital Passport National Progression Awards (NPAs) develop knowledge and understanding of the uses of computing, data and digital concepts. They complement existing digital provision and offer flexibility in the choice of units to enable centres to meet individual learner needs.
These qualifications are available through schools, colleges and training providers.
NPAs can be taught as a full-time course over one year or as a part-time course over two years.

These National Progression Awards are made up of three SQA unit credits. They comprise 18 SCQF credit points at each level: SCQF levels 4, 5 and 6.
How to assess
Assessment will be a combination of practical and knowledge assessments under closed-book and open-book assessment conditions. See the assessment and evidence requirements for each unit.

Why study this qualification
The NPA in Digital Passport is designed for a wide range of learners, including:
- school learners wishing to complement other computing courses
- adults returning to education with an interest in developing fundamental digital skills
- those wishing to develop their knowledge of, and skills in, digital technologies
The qualification gives flexibility to learn and develop digital skills from across different areas of interest. It allows a breadth of learning over a range of units covering digital literacy and computing skills.
You will develop knowledge and skills in digital technologies.
You will also develop important knowledge and practical skills in the use of digital tools for a range of purposes.
Access
Entry is at the discretion of the school, college or training provider. However, if you are thinking of entering the level 4 award it is recommended that you have attained the skills, knowledge and understanding required in the following or equivalent qualifications and/or experience:
GT5Y 43: NPA Digital Skills SCQF level 3.
